What Game To Get

I'm possibly going to get a DS as a present for my wife as she keeps going on about it, but could you give a few game recomendations?

She's asked for a Mario type game but I don't know what to get! She's got a Wii and has Mario Kart on that, she's also said she's like Batman on the Wii but what is it like on the DS?

Re: What Game To Get

Have a look over at the games section of the forum, there are lots of people's opinions about the games there. I would personally recommend getting Professor Layton & The Curious Village - a puzzle game with a great story, Mario Kart DS is great but if you've already got it on the Wii there's not much point in getting it on the DS too, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - fantastic touch-screen controls on this game and maybe try Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games.

There are loads of great games for the DS so you can't go wrong really.

Re: What Game To Get

Moved your thread to the DS Games sub-forum.

Mario Kart DS is a great little game and definately worth getting as it has a good amount of tracks not found in Mario Kart Wii.

My other two top recommendations as games for the other half would be Zoo Keeper(still my wifes favourite and she's been playing it for years, it's a lot like Bejewled only with animals) and Picross(kind of like a picture making Sudoku, lovely little game).

Re: What Game To Get

As someone who has lost his DS to his girlfriend on several occasions, for days at a time, I can recommend (or, rather, she would recommend) one or any of the following: Professor Layton and the Curious Village, the Dr Kawashima Brain Training games, 42 All Time Classics and New Super Mario Bros.

Re: What Game To Get

You could always get Guitar Hero DS if you fancy watching her pretending to play the guitar .. .. .. ..

Or .. .. .. I agree with the choices that Flashy proposed.
