Learn to write with the DS

Hi there, my 4 year old boy has just started to learn to write at school. He loves my DS and I wondered if anyone knew of a game or homebrew app that would allow him to practice the letters using the DS.
This seems to be catered for in Japan and you can buy commercial learn kanji packages - but I can't find anything for the English market.

Anyone help?

Looks a bit too advanced. At reception stage in school they learn the letters and then start to learn to write them. I was thinking a very simple piece of homebrew that used the DS in the same book style format as brain training. it could display the letter on one screen and the child could copy it on the input screen. Once they got it correct it would cycle to another letter.

Maybe it's time to learn some programming.
