Viva Pinata DS

I can't see any mention of it on these forums, but the Games TM magazine I was reading last week had a small piece about VP from Rare coming to the DS.

Apparently it was always meant for the hand-held market.

I havent played the 360 version, but a few mates have and they say its addictive a fun.

I can't wait - should be good!

Same here.....haven't played the 360 one but reports I've read have said it was a great "under the radar" title.

I only hope it's different to Animal Crossing as that bored the hell out of me .........(wake up in a virtual world, have virtually no time before the virtual deadline to fill in your virtual tax returns and post them at a virtual post office (joking) ----- I can do all this in real life ).

Re: Viva Pinata DS

Has anybody bought Viva Pinata on the DS? I enjoyed its debut on the Xbox 360 and am considering picking this up if I can find it for a decent price.

I'm going to pick it up this week or next as I'm off to the states in a few weeks so this will be great for me and the misses to pass the time on the flight.

Strange how getting a Fudgehog wearing a mexican hat was such a gaming highlight last year

I picked it up on Friday.

I only played the 360 version once, at a mates house, so I'm not sure I can really comment on whether or not it's massively different.

I'm enjoying it so far, but I didn't pay enough attention during the tutorials, so when a fight breaks out in my garden, I have no idea what (if anything) I'm supposed to do. I also seem to struggle to make money anyway other than planting seeds and selling the end product.

If they start fighting try pouring water on them, or if its a big ruccas then hit them with the spade

May have to pick this up sooner than I thought. Getting Pinata fever again! Also may have to get Trouble in Paradise on the 360.

The misses is going to love it. She was totally hooked on it on the 360

Thanks, the only other thing I;m struggling with is when some floating 'enemy', that resembles an old man, enters my garden and makes my Pianat ill.

I cant seem to get rid of him, and when he hits a pinata, it costs LOADS to get the 'doctor' to make them better. Any suggestions ???

Re: Viva Pinata DS

In the first one thats Professor Pester "victory is mine!" and you don't want him there. You used to be able to keep him away by taming the sour pinata's and upping your level to buy items which you can use to repel him. Not sure how it works in TIP.

Occaisonally when a Pinata got ill like this I would just break them up with a spade and let the others eat the candy, cheaper than a doctor

In the first one the misses created another garden and filled it full of thistles and chilli's. Made them really big with fertilizer and then sold them quick. She made a packet this way!
