One of my favourite arcade games for the PC, Peggle, looks like it is on its way to the DS according to Kotaku.

This is great news as it's something that I thought would always work well as a handheld. I've completed the PC version so I'm hoping they introduce some new levels.

I remember reading about this on Wikipaedia the other day. Certainly looks intriguing.
Hopefully it'll be another game DS game to add to the library .

I was reading today that this may only just be a rumour and that nothing is confirmed - either way if it does end up on the console I'll be chuffed!

But Nintendo has not approved this product, we have not signed a developer to port Peggle to DS, and we have not green lighted this project."

Still, PopCap generally makes its games available on many different platforms, and Peggle would seem to be a really good fit for the DS. Hopefully this rumor will become reality one day.

It's now official, Peggle is definitely on its way!

The Nintendo DS version of Peggle is currently in development at Q Entertainment, best known for Lumines on the PSP and Xbox Live Arcade, as well as the Meteos series on the Nintendo DS. The portable game will feature unique touch-screen controls and a whole slew of new options and gameplay elements.

PopCap and Q are remaining hush on a features list right now, but we do know that the Nintendo DS version will retail for $29.99 and hit shelves by Winter 2008.

Is the US version multi region?

By "multi-region", if you're asking if it'll play on a European ds/ds lite console, then yes it will. The games are not region-locked and so will play on ANY console.

If you're referring to the language options, I'm led to believe that it is in English only.
