They send a mail out, with your download code, then if it's anything like previous offers, you open the store, go to redeem code(sure that's what it says, and enter it, then it will allow you access to the game, to download.

Seems to be happening to quite a few people that. I've seen posts by other people on various forums saying the same.

I may have 2/3 codes to give away for this, i dont want the download game, if anyone want the codes to try claiming you can have em.

i have 1 new game and 2 that are 2nd hand, if any of the 2nd hand ones havnt been registered i presume they will work.

Ill post the codes next week prob.

Just checked and both preowned games codes havnt been used.

If u only need 1 code I can give you one and still leaves 2 more for someone else

That would be immense! Only thing, it needs to be one of the following games (the list would include MK7 but I have already registered it once):
  • Resident Evil™: Revelations
  • Super Pokémon™ Rumble
  • SUPER MARIO 3D LAND™
  • Tetris™
  • Star Fox 64™ 3D
  • Resident Evil™: The Mercenaries 3D
  • The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time 3D
  • DEAD OR ALIVE™ Dimensions
  • Steel Diver™
  • nintendogs™ + cats
  • Pilotwings Resort™
  • Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
If you're happy to do so then PM would probably be best. There may be other games that are eligilbe but these are confirmed.

Whatever happens, thanks. This is what I love about AVF.

Has there been any other deals like this for free games since the launch of the eShop?

I wouldnt worry too much about picking this up. Its ok as a freebie but I was never a huge fan of it back in the day and it hasnt aged well imo. Give me any of the super marios or megamans any day.

There's been a few free games on the eshop but this is the first one you got through registering two games. The other games were Excitebike and Zelda Four S
words.

Did you fill in your email address after registering 2 games, and pressing the Kid Icarus window advert on Nintendo's site?

Yes I did that on the 5th. Just out of interest which 3ds did people choose to be in with a chance of winning. I went for the mario themed one.
