Hi,

I have had Mario Kart Wii for some time but am new to Mario Kart DS.

On the Wii you have the option to throw some weapons forward as well as backwards or visa versa.

I cant seem to be able to do this on the DS, although some of the CPU opponents can.

Can anyone tell me which buttons I need to press to throw a bomb behind me or a banana skin in front of me?

Hold the d-pad button in the direction you wish to throw the item and then press the weapon button.

So hold UP and press L/X to throw ahead, or hold DOWN and press L/X to throw the item behind you. If you don't hold the direction button the item will be thrown in its default direction.

Why would you throw a banana in front? Wont you just slip over?
