Sanyo Z3 with spare bulb for £850?

http://www.247av.com/sanyo-plvz3-p-6107.html

At least I think it's a spare bulb. They surely can't be making a big thing of the bulb which should presumably come with the projector?

Rang them out of interest and apparently it does come with the bulb for a short period only. I was told that the machine would have a Sanyo 3yr warranty and was UK sourced.

Did a quick search on kelkoo and couldn't see them listed though.

Hmmm.......

Does seem a good deal though.

www.*********.co.uk have it at £856 !any 1 know anything about them at all?

after looking at 247av t&c i see that if u want to return a product, they charge a stock returns free of 25% of the product, seems like a dodgy company to me
why has the price of this projector just dropped? does this mean the z4 might be on its way?

I have dealt with this company, 247av.com, before and I can tell you that they are not dodgy. I didn't know anything about plasma screens and the sales person I spoke to was very professional and talked me through most of the major brands. Ordered what I thought be best for me and got it the next day! After sales was good too! I'd definitely recommend it!

Took the liberty of calling them why the price has dropped and they said that they are having a promotion and spare lamps are only limited. Also checked the restocking fee is charged because Sanyo charges them the same amount if the projector has been opened and used. Apparently, the lamp clock starts once the projector is turned on and cannot be sold as new again. Hope that makes sense.

I very nearly just bought one of these from them. They told me to order on the website and to specify that I wanted Sat delivery. Was previously leaning towards a themescene h57 (at nearly double the cost! but also has 3yr warranty). What do you lot think - is it too good to be true or should I go to discount electrical and get the h57?
Cheers
Rick

The final decision is yours to make. I think the Sanyo Z3 seems to have better features and also compliant for the future with the HDMI input. Personally, if I was to buy a projector, my choice would be the Z3 and with the offer of 247av.com with an extra spare lamp and a good price seems to finalise my decision.

Were they friendly with you though? In your opinion, did they give you the right advise?

As far as I know, all warranty is with the manufacturer and not the retailer.

I've just gone and ordered one. I am really pleased with my Sony HS10, however...

1) I appreciate the value of a 3yr warranty

2) The spare bulb gives added peace of mind

3) My Sony is attached to the ceiling precariously on a bracket meant for a Sanyo!

4) Improved contrast ratio.

5) The Sony only does 1:1 pixel mapping @ 56Hz.

6) Should be able to recoup a reasonable chunk of £860 by selling the Sony, and have that spare bulb to boot.

Great, I've just rationalised another impulse buy.
Will follow up the details re the fulfillment of this order as they come. Have used a credit card instead of a debit card - just in case!

Hello all

The price looks pretty keen - whatever happened to making a profit on a sale?

The Free Lamp offer started on 14/07/05 and its a 'While Stock Lasts' promotion - sorry I don't have info on what's around the corner from Sanyo.

Best regards

Joe
