I would have thought Sevenoaks should be able to accommodate you. Have you tried them?

Thanks very much, i never knew there was one of them in leicester. Just one question regarding their pricing, are they about average, or do they tend to be more expensive than most other stores

Thanks

I believe they are similar to most other bricks and mortar stores in terms of pricing but also like most others a bit of haggling should always be tried Also depends I guess on how much you spend with them.

Sevenoaks in Birmingham told me that they don't do LCD projectors as they're not very good, but it may vary at different shops.

Hrmmm. Nice sweeping statement there. If only life (and projectors) were that simple. Mental note to avoid that particular dealer.

Are you sure that was Sevenoaks sound and vision? seems a silly statement from a reputable dealer mate, Sevenoaks are one of very few chains that stock LCD projectors.

After visiting sevenoaks in leicester, they do stock lcds and will happily demonstrate them to you, however, they do recommend the dlp ones.

The guy I spoke to said they do dlps and not lcds. I remember very clearly the comment about lcds because it was my one hope for previewing ae500 near-ish to me and was to hear this.

theres a Panasonic shop in Leicester that usually has a Panasonic AE500 permanently on show - about 5 minutes walk from Sevenoaks - you can see a Sony at the Sony shop on High Street and Mays of Churchgate sometimes stock projectors though didnt have one on display as of 2 months ago
