PLV-Z2 Warranty

Hi,
This is my first post here! Don't know if it's been discussed before, but am i the only one who gets annoyed by the fact that in the US the PLV-Z2 comes with a 3 year warranty yet over here it comes with only a 2 year return-to-base warranty. Does anybody know why this is so?

I only chose the PLV_Z2 as an example, i'm sure its the same for many other products / manufacturers, but if US consumers deserve a longer warranty, then why don't we, especially since we have to pay higher prices!

Well, thats enough moaning for my first post! Hope somebody can shed some light on this.

and some german places will do 1 year or 1000 hour bulb warranties...... but i think thats maybe down to the supplier..... maybe with so many of us buying z2's from ken, he can get a good rate on the lamps!
