What about this for an interesting idea...

I've been looking at building a sub enclosure under my projector screen using two 15" drivers in reflex cabinets. In searching I came across these:-
Skytronic 902.222 12" 300W PP Cone Woofer Speaker NEW on eBay (end time 24-Nov-09 10:34:34 GMT)

OK so they are obviously budget drivers, but putting the TS info into bassbox gives some surprising results. I would need to keep the power down to avion over excursion, but for home cinema use it could be an interesting project using four of them in a big reflex box under the screen.

The REL q100e drivers were of a similar ilk Certainly worth a try as a proof of concept...

Or four of them in four 1/4 size vented boxes with one positioned in the middle of each wall or each corner....

Any chance of asking the vendor what the Xmax and Le is?

I'd hazard a guess at 8mm xmax maybe 10mm at most.

The motor does not look like it could do much more.

These could be fine when used in multiples, I bet they are efficient.

Re: What about this for an interesting idea...

I'd sort of guessed 10-12mm Xmax, so I'm pleased to find I'm not too far wide of the guesstimate mark. Definitely one for a ported box as there's shave all chance of significant bottom end otherwise.
