I Am Legend HD DVD. Will it play here?

It's a 'combi' disc. Does that mean that it is region coded somehow?

As far as I know that just means it's SD one side, HD another?

Combi's are SD DVD on one side and HD DVD on the other. HD DVD is region free so it will play everywhere.

Just be aware that the SD side will be Region 1 if imported from USA.

Amazon.com. $25 plus about $4 postage. Not too bad.

Just ordered it. It ends up about £16 which is only £3 more than the standard dvd region 2 release and it comes out a few weeks earlier.

Why are people willing to pay £16 for a HD DVD?

I'm not paying a single penny over £8 unless it's a box set.

It's not as if the disc will stop working is it? There is still a demand for the disc so prices will stay up for a while.

HD DVD won;t die completely for another 6 months...so you'll have to wait a few more months for really cheap NEW films.

I noticed that my large local Zavvies store has removed all HD-DVD discs from their shelves, ironically they were the only store to be seen promoting them via a hugh LCD screen prior to the Warners 4/1 announcement. I'd be very surprised if HD-DVD lasts for another six months.
