Casino Royale uncut bluray

does anyone own the uncut release bluray of casino royale?

i see it listed at movietyme and was wondering if the pic quality etc is as good as the uk release.

The U.S version is CUT and trimmed by 22 seconds.

i have the uk version which i know contains a bit extra violence but has cuts to the whipping scene, just wondered if any one had the aus version and could comment on the picture, the uk picture is georgeous

Both UK & US versions are cut, but only slightly, and in different ways.

The Australian version is uncut, and the same region as the UK.

Japanese version is also uncut - but more expensive than the Australian version.

Exactly. The UK only cuts a couple of small clips from 'that' scene, where as the US version apparently cuts a fair bit more from two great fight scenes. I'm not really bothered about what the UK version cuts, as that scene is wince-inducing enough already. I'm buying UK.

Announced over a year ago and first 500,000 only I'm afraid.

I'm not sure which cut it was Sony distributed as it's an all regions disc.


EDIT: Just looked at the disc sleeve and it says U.K. right beside the all regions (A,B,C) logo, so I guess it's that one.

Same here. Normally I chase uncut versions something chronic, but in this case I can live without the extra testes-tickling as that scene is still VERY intense. And the fact that we've got a more violent version (overall) than the Yanks is something to celebrate!
