Kung Fu Uk Blu Ray Uncut?

I just bought the UK Blu Ray version of Kung Fu Hustle after reading on IMDB that it had none of the cuts the US version has but now I'm reading the Blu Ray version is the same as the US version, which is cut and that the uncut status only applies to the SD DVD

Does anyone know if that's true?

As far as I know the UK release is the original unedited release. I assume its the same as the French release listed here

I have only seen the Blu-Ray of this. It's one of the funniest films I have ever seen. I cry with laughter watching it. I would hope it's not a censored version but if it is they seem to have not lost the sense of it.

It's been ages since I saw the SD uncensored UK release, but as far as I can see the UK Blu-Ray IS the same version with no cuts.

Hope you're right. As good as the BD is I'd hate to think I was missing out on something.

Simple way to check- is there a puddle of blood coming from the landlord when a plant pot lands on his head? When the lady punches Chow does he spit blood? When we pan across the rooms is there a hanky with poo on it underneath the squatting man? When the beast wallops Chow into the floorboards, do you see his fist slowly rise with blood dripping from it?
If the answer is yes to all of these, it is uncut.
(to anyone who hasn't seen the film yet and has read the above, sounds a good film don't it? GET IT NOW- it's hilarious!)
