hd dvd films on Blu Ray

Now that hddvd has gone, how long will it be until those films that were released on that format are out on Blu Ray?

Personally, I can't wait for Batman Begins, Apollo 13, and the Fast & Furious trilogy (guilty pleasure!!!).

I would think they wouldn't be too long, seeing as they already have the film in a hd format?....

Depends how bothered they are about re-releasing films they have already put out there, could be months or it could be years.

For commercial reasons I would guess months, because I would buy BATMAN BEGINS on Blu=Ray.

Re: hd dvd films on Blu Ray

As far as I understand, Warner delayed releasing some of their titles (Batman Begins, The Matrix Trilogy, etc) on Blu-ray because they would have been "inferior" to the HD-DVD releases as a result of Blu-ray's lack of interactive support. However now with BD 2.0 players on the horizon, I don't think it will be too long until we see them released.

They'll either push Batman Begins for a release around the end of July (Dark Knight time!), or else for a simultaneous release of both on Blu-ray later in the year, probably around October/November.
