Channel 4 HD DVD's

I've already pre-ordered these but Amazon has just added the box art, so fingers crossed they're not going to be cancelled

In The Shadow Of The Moon

Sexy Beast

The Motorcycle Diaries

Re: Channel 4 HD DVD's

I really want Sexy Beast.

But isn't £18.74 just extracting the Michael at this stage in the game?

But once again, like Sexy Beast, it's been going for about a fiver in every sale bin you can name for several years now.

£18.74 is more than the new HD DVD/BD releases of Bourne 3, Eastern Promises, No Country for Old Men, American Gangster, etc.

Given the situation with HD DVD they really are pushing it a bit.

Re: Channel 4 HD DVD's

you can`t really blame them as it is a new release and their first. sure they will drop the prices soon though. but I would rather they keep the prices high and release some new waves of titles rather than drop them and this be all they ever release. anyway sexy beast is going to be mine. top british movie. the americans can just dream of making such movies.

Agreed.

The Americans are superb at some things, but in this area we excell.

Re: Channel 4 HD DVD's

I'm really looking forward to 'In The Shadow of the Moon' so I'll be devastated if the HD DVD is cancelled. Unless, of course, they announce a Blu-ray equivalent for imminent release instead.

Re: Channel 4 HD DVD's

The Channel 4 DVD releases are still coming, also I've found out that Trainspotting and Shallow Grave are also 4dvd releases and not Universal as previously said, so these are still due to be released in June and not cancelled as some have feared!

I've had Sexy Beast HD DVD on pre order from Play for a few months for 17.99

Can't find it any cheaper than that

I want Sexy Beast amongst others but not at that price!

Is Sexy Beast (HD) worth £18 in the current climate?

100% agree with you, they're quality titles and ones I'm willing to pay a little extra for.

As you say, let's hope they sell well as if they do more may follow...
