Sorry if this has been asked recently. What is happening with the Hi Def releases (Blu Ray or HD DVD) of Gladiator, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Has anyone any news yet? Peter Jackson must be nearly finished surely. They should look fantastic and will no doubt be some of the must have movies on either format. I cant wait but the lack of info is killing me

We know that Lord Of The Rings is being prepared - we may see it this year although I would have thought Christmas 2008 is more likely. As for the rest I really wouldn't get your hopes up - it could be five years before we see any of these on either or both high def formats. And that is a particularly optimistic timescale IMHO.
