Question Zodiac Blu Ray

now, we all now about the Paramount situation, so therefore this title will be HD DVD only in the US

...but...

the UK theatrical distributor was Warner (according to imdb) and amazon UK are listing the DVD distributor as Warner.

reckon we'll get it on BD? anyone know/heard/seen anything?

If we ain't gonna get the BD, I'll just go standard DVD.

gutted like everyone about Transformers but this is 'the one' I want on BD!!

I suspect this may not be the Directors Cut though

According to dvd times, the hi-def versions have been postponed until next year when the Director's cut of the film is released.

Re: Zodiac Blu Ray

QUESTION: Have WB put out a film in high def in Europe that belongs to an 'exclusive' studio in the States?

QUESTION: If they did, was it put iut by WB in the UK only on the US format, or both formats?

Prestige was released in the US by Buena Vista on Blu-ray only and then released in the UK on HD DVD & Blu-ray by WB.

Now that Paramount are back in the HD DVD camp, it makes Flgs of Our Fathers and Letters from Iowa Jima, both HD DVD exclusive in the states. (They will not produce any more copies when the current stock runs out) But Warner have the UK distribution rights for both the Blu-Ray and HD DVD.

Re: Zodiac Blu Ray

Think I'll wait for the directors cut and if the Warner version of the Prestige is anything to go by it will be the US HD-DVD version i'll be buying.

Re: Zodiac Blu Ray

Sendit now state on their website that both the hd-dvd & blu-ray versions have been deleted in the UK.

They say they still might be able to get hold of it but I really can't see how if it's been deleted before it's release.

What differences were there with Prestige? Was more than happy with my copy personally.

Re: Zodiac Blu Ray

If you're dual format then it may be worth waiting for the 2 disc HD-DVD Edition that's just been announced by Paramount. It's due in the new year. See High Def Digest for details.

Absolutely. This is my film of the year (so far) so going for the 2 Disc HD-DVD is something of a no brainer.
