Fox steps back in the ring.

After months of silence, Fox Home Entertainment is planning to issue an announcement later today renewing its support for the Blu-ray format, and outlining the studio's upcoming release plans.

Remember last year when Fox rushed out X-Men 3 at the last minute?

This is excellent news...Fox is a 'must have' studio for me (as much as Universal, Paramount, Dreamworks, New Line and Warner are). Fox had some good releases lined up before they abandoned the high def market - lets hope we see some major high profile titles and not just a rehash of DVHS titles though!

It seems as though Paramount have shaken the market back into life

Re: Fox steps back in the ring.

Fox may well have been preparing titles for months, so they could just drop a hatfull on the market.

Shocked at paramount, just muddies the already murky waters, and IMHO dooms the HD formats to dvd-a/sacd fate

Looks like we're all benefiting from the Paramount announcement today.
