Re: HD-DVD rentals

They are in the US (netflix), so I expect they will here eventually.

Probably nowhere near enough demand here to justify it yet.

Re: HD-DVD rentals

Tesco are doing Blu-ray, no sign of HD-DVD though Not that I will be staying with Tesco much longer as their service seems alot slower than it used to be.

Re: HD-DVD rentals

lovefilm.com have the first 4 released HD-DVDs. I received DOOM and Apollo 13 from them today.

FYI: Tesco do too, since they're powered by lovefilm.

Re: HD-DVD rentals

4? They have at least 18, probably more..

Some good stuff there.. Not so sure about "Fireplace HD" or "HD Window - Hawaii" though...

Damn such a tempting offer - do I buy the films I want or rent them from lovefilm?

Tesco have HDDVD.. Serenity, Apollo 13, Batman Begins, Constantine.

Not a lot... but they do have it.

In fact I couldn't actually find any bluray...

They didn't as of earlier today. I see they've added some more now.

Re: HD-DVD rentals

Hopefully the HD-DVD discs will be a little less scratched than the SD ones.

I took up their free 21 day offer to end on Nov. 1, I cancelled on Oct. 26, and they still billed me for one month, (£9.99) I'm trying, without success so far, to get my money back.

Re: HD-DVD rentals

I've got until 1 dec to cancel mine. Deciding whether to continue beyond that at the mo. I think the HDDVD thing might swing it for me. They get the dvds out to you quick though.

Yep, and they have HD DVDs also - they only have 4 or 5 of each format at the mo' but they should have a lot more soon.

Re: HD-DVD rentals

Just to save you Lovefilm users time - you search on HD & not HD-DVD.
