SKYdigital & Digital Switchover

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere.


I currently subscribe to SKY digital. I have not got or do not want a land line so I cannot have SKY+. Am I right in thinking that my Pace set top box has just one TV tuner?
If so, when the analogue channels are switched off, can I only watch what I am recording?
Will this be the case? If so, what are my options to be able to record one and watch a different digital channel?

about a month or two ago Sky lifted the phone line condition for Sky+ so it is now possible to Sky+ without a phone line

(but you still need it for Sky HD and Multiroom)

If so, when the analogue channels are switched off, can I only watch what I am recording?" with an ordinary (ie not Sky+ box) then yes, you could only record the programme you were watching (unless your TV had a digital tuner i.e. an IDTV or you had a sepatate Freeview STB).

Just for the record you do not need a phone line for sky plus why not fit freesat which needs no subscription.

the phone is just for pay perview or movies.
