Analogue switch off channel 62 Manchester

Guys

In Manchester, BBC 2 went off air last week. I had long been waiting for this day, as I have three cameras plus the RF output from my 2nd V+ box, routed through my MRX 390 distribution system.

I changed the RF output on the V+ box to 62, expecting to be able to pick it up on the old BBC 2 channels on my analogue TVs in bedrooms and kitchen.

I got nothing. Zero, just a black screen. I moved the V+ box back to where it had been and tried moving one of the cameras to Chanel 62 via the modulator. Again nothing.

What's happening? I thought that when they stopped transmitting, the channels would become free.

Does anyone know?

Hoping you can help.

Ch62 is used by PSB1 Multiplex on Winter Hill if that helps.

Indeed, you need to avoid 54, 55, 58, 59, 61, and 62 with effect from December 2nd 2009.

Of course 62 is the top of the band come 2/12, so I would have thought that 64 - 68 would be available for modulators from that time ...

Channels removed from UK TV broadcast bandplan (with effect from DSO 2 in each region):

31 - 37

39 - 40

63 - 68
