Interruptions to digital signal

I've been getting intermittent problems with the signal on MUX 2 (CH 4, 5, ITV2 Ch 4+1 and several others) from the Crystal Palace transmitter, that's the one that covers most of London. The signal strength drops and the picture pixellates and sometimes locks up.

After some searching (and much ineffective twiddling of the mast head amplifier of my aerial) I found out that it was due to engineering work on the transmitter. I assume that it's something to do with changes necessary for the start of HD transmissions.

Anyway - to the point of this thread. I found a web page that gives a list of all the tv regions and when and whether there is likely to be an interruption on any of the digital transmissions. There's a lot of engineering work going on at the moment. So if you're having problems you might save yourself time and trouble by checking here first.
