TOSHIBA TV Reset

As per the recent instuctions I reset my TOSHIBA TV to get all the new postions for FREEVIEW. The problem I have is it wont save the setting after its been scanned. This means every time you switch off and on it takes you back to the LOCAL OPTIONS and you have to start again. Any idea how you get it to keep the settings once scanned. Thanks in advance.

Re: TOSHIBA TV Reset

Try posting the model number.
Then someone may be able to download the manual and see if they can work out what you may be doing wrong.

Re: TOSHIBA TV Reset

Chris tried that already (sorry should have included that in the first post) manual does not have any obvious "press and save" commands. I have attached the online manual link as I may have missed the obvious and an extra set of eyes would be great. Thanks

Re: TOSHIBA TV Reset

Hmmm!
It doesn't look obvious from the manual.
Some operations have a "store" option in the menu, others seem to require you to simply select "OK" or "Exit".
The 1st thing I would try is a reset of the TV before trying again from scratch; next (though you could do this from the start), you could try a factory reset, then unplug the TV from the mains for an hour then try again from scratch.

Re: TOSHIBA TV Reset

I will give that a go, as you can see the only option it provides is "exit" to watch

Re: TOSHIBA TV Reset

Chris - Tried all the options you suggested but still every time it goes of/on back to the setup screen

Starting to look like a fault with the TV perhaps.

Any other suggestions (other than throwing it from a great height) would be great
