Was just wondering if anyone could help, we have just done the freeview "RETUNE" on our LG tv with built in freeview and for some reason we have now lost all sky signal and its not even recognising the hdmi cable is connected ????

the national freeview retune has nothing to do with sky or hdmi , or any sky or hdmi connections

so I suggest you check other avenues for the problems you mention

ie:- connections from sky box to tv , check tv av inputs , check all leads etc

also check that you are on correct saurce or axillarysumtimes called funtion on your tv remote many people miss it this to select an outside saurce such as sky box, dvd recorder ect

the chaanel rescan does not affect auxilly channels (saurce switching) as this is a feature that allows connected equipment to be used on varied types of wiring like hdmi, scart, svideo and so on (try connecting sky using a scart see if it works that way (cood be faulty hdmi cable)

When you reset your TV it resets all your AV and HDMI inputs too!

So you need to assume that the TV is new and imagine youre installing everything from scratch
