anyone help me out here please? my mums tv went on weds morning , due to the switch off of analogue transmitter at caradon. , but i thought we were ok as i had bought her an acoustic solutions ctvl26w3hd tv about a year ago assuming all would be well. she is 84 yrs old and way too old to be given another remote ie a freeview box to go with the tv. i tried to retune the tv using the loft aerial which was always the only aerial. and it finds no stations at all. if i plug in a freeview box it works fine getting her 63 watchable channels, but she is too old to be trying to learn to the tv on to channel zero and then trying to turn on this little box , which she will unplug at night btw.
the man from richer sounds said the tv should recieve the didgtal signal as did the freeview box, but i mat need to do the factory rest code ? to clear the memory etc and try and retune that way, we have lost the manual for the tv (oh what joy) please can anyone help, she really only needs her old 4 channels bbc1 bbc2 itv and ch4 , it seems im stuck needing this code, help please

Sorry, but I don't think it's a Freeview TV - have a look at this spec - Acoustic Solutions CTVL26W3HD 26in HD Ready LCD TV - HotUKDeals Forum . No mention of digital tuner or Freeview. Looks as though you'll have to hook up the box; or buy a new TV.

thanks geof, i cant believe it ! i bought this model at argos nearly a year ago i think, for mum so as when the changeover came it'd be ready ,i double checked that it had the digital tick and im sure it was on argos's site ticked the same way...... id rather buy another tv but from richer sounds as i usually do .rather than put her thru the 2 remote control scenario, bloomin eck what a mare, thanks mate.
