Switchover and SKY Query

Hi,

Dont know if this is the right forum for this question but here goes! Been puzzling me for ages this!

When you get sky and you have a really bad downpour ( storm ) of rain, nearly almost all the time you loose all the channels until the storm passes. When The analogue signal gets swiched off, will this keep happening or will we keep loosing our tv channels in bad weather?

Re: Switchover and SKY Query

That won't change - it's called rain fade.
Digital Switch Over (DSO) will result in the terrestrial Freeview signal being stronger (by 10 dB or 10 times in most areas) ; it's lower now to stop the digital terrestrial multiplexes intefering with the analogue tranmissions.
Satellite signals will remain as they are interms of signal strength or transmitted power.
A larger dish should help at your end.
