Basic tv

hi,i want to use my old kitchen tv which is still good as new with a digital receiver however the tv has only a single aerial connection nothing else. i have them connected but only receive the basic channels,ie bbc itv channel 4,any help would be much appreciated.

It would have been more ideal if the tv had a scart socket as better quality than RF and easier setup but theres still a way round this if your digital receiver can output the picture via the RF (the lead that plugs into the tv from the receiver), and if it does you will need to tune that channel into the tv, you will need to follow your tv instructions for that

Ravi's solution is OK if the Freeview box has an RF modulator, but the majority do not. There have been a few posts lately from people with the same problem, and you may wish to look at the following for suggestions on possible RF-capable boxes - Freeview box with RF modulator

Yup defintely, freeview manufacturers are just getting cheaper and lazier and decide to obliterate that rf jack as a measure to cut costs
