Digital signal still rubbish after switch-over!

Here in sunny Exeter we have gone digital. After switch over we were promised a better stronger signal. But things are no better. We constantly have problems when the weather is poor.

Picture freezes or pixelates and sound drops out. It is not the Digital Tuners as we have 4 different types in either TVs or Set top boxes (ranging from cheap and cheerful £20 specials to renowned manufacturers) and they all tend to play up at around the same time as we have checked.

Should we be taking a class action against the government for telling us a load of lies and forcing the digital change over on to us?

Or at the very least we should be getting a refund on part of our licence for the poor quality signal we are being forced to endure.

It could be that your aerial system needs upgrading or replacing with a new aerial, possibly one designed for different groups.
It could also be that you have too strong a signal now (although I don't suspect this).
Finally it could be your coaxial cables and distribution system that need attention.

Yep, sounds like it may well be an equipment issue. Are all your boxes using the same aerial? If so, it could be the distribution - a dodgy cable can cause problems like this.

Also, what does it say about reception at your home when you type your postcode into the digital uk site?

Re: Digital signal still rubbish after switch-over!

Indeed. The answer to both your questions is "no". You should be equipping yourself with an aerial installation that is suited to the task of receiving (what is now the current standard of) television in your area.
