I don't really see why this should make us 'guys laugh'. Here is a piece of equipment which probably cost the original owner the equivilent of a couple of thousand Pounds at todays prices. With a bit of tender loving care it can still be made to work after 70 years. A lot of equipment around today barely makes it beyond the guarantee period. Any attempts at achieving a repair are met with 'parts not available'. Added to this the equipment was designed and manufactured in the UK.
