Lens Question

Hi

I was thinking of bidding on this Item number: 160334051511 on Ebay, but before I do I wanted to makesure it has the built in focus motor for my D40.

Can anyone confirm this for me, I have asked the seller but they have not responded yet.

Thanks

Re: Lens Question

Check this out...

Nikon Service Updates

As of May 2008, no Tamron lenses were D40 AF compatible. That model predates that, but sounds like it was updated. IF it's a brand new lens, manufactured since August 2008, if should be fine, I personally wouldn't chance it without further info from the seller

According to that Tamron notice, you need to look out for a model number of A14NII
