IXUS 80IS date problem

I recently bought a Canon IXUS 80IS for the OH and set it up for her with the correct date. However when I downloaded images from the camera the description was for example "Picture 021008 00x", but the date taken 12 March this year.

I understand that I can use the software disk provided to correct th date discrepancy, but am unable to spot how to do it. Can someone please help me?

Hi there,

Looks as if you should be able to change the date via the camera menu, see attached image which shows how to change it.
