Batch convert of TIF's to JPG's with XMP data

I am looking for a small program to batch convert TIF's with XMP data into JPG's of the same resolution and retain the XMP information.

I know that Adobe Photoshop can do this, but don't want to install another bloated and expensive bitmap editor. I thought Infranview could do it, but it will not pass over the XMP data when going from TIF to JPG. In principle Microsoft Pro Photo Tools can do it but it has a bug when batch converting files of differing sizes.

Can anyone suggest a simple program to do this?
