Hi guys

I'm concentrating on landscape photography for the next couple of weeks. Could you please let me know your recommendations for fantastic landscape locations in East Anglia.

I don't know any locations in East Anglia myself, but you can always go to the East Anglia group on flickr and click on the map to find some photos you like and see where they were taken.

I think we need to build some mountains and lakes in Sudbury Squizza

Anywhere along the coast and inland hilly areas like Great Chishill near Royston plenty of sweeping panoramas there, also Theydon Mount near Epping has some interesting views out towards London. Rutland and Grafham Waters are good, plenty of nice landscapes along the A47 towards Leicester from Peterborough and not forgetting the Norfolk Broads, Sandringham Estate and any of the National Trust sites. Epping Forrest and Orwell country park(in Ipswich) are other good sites can not think of any more at present but bet there are loads more!

It's a trek to the North of Norfolk but Holkham Beach has always given me great shots with my point and shoot all year around. I look forward to going back with my DSLR in the summer
The Victoria Hotel is also a great restaurant, pricey but fabulous food.

Wells-next-the-sea a few miles up the road is also pretty, but less 'landscape' more 'picturesque coastal village'.

With reference to Wells I think you will find if you take the road to the beach and walk through the pine forest you will crest the sand dunes and see one of the best vistas in the whole of Norfolk! When the tide is out you can walk for about a mile towards the sea but beware of the returning tide as it comes in very very quickly and people often get stranded! You will find lots of twitchers (Holo take note!) at the weekend due to the vast amount of wading birds there.

Forgot to mention Harwich is one of the only places in Essex to catch the setting sun with a good backdrop, take shots from the Halfpenny Pier or where the RNLI museum is.
