Sony Alpha cashback, Wheres my money?

Hi i got a Sony A200 over christmas from Warehouse Express. Sony were also running a cashback offer during the same period, either £30 or £50 depending which product you bought. The only condition was that you had to fill out the claim form and send it in before the end of Jan. Iv done all this but not got the cashback yet. Iv rung sony once, and they said it can take up to 28 days for claim to be processed, but 28 days came and went. So i rang again and they said due to the high volume of claims there will be a delay. Rang them again and they said i would deffinetly have it within a week. I still havent got it.

Has anybody else been having this much trouble with their claims???

I would guess Xmas is a busy time of year, people talking holidays and now the bad weather with more people having time off.

I would say, save your effort and just wait a few more weeks before chasing again. As long as they haven't lost it I'm sure it will be fine.

I too got one just after Christmas and sent off for the cashback right away. I had a letter from them at the end of last week dated 29th Jan saying they are experiencing an unexpected delay in despatching my cashback claim, but they would despatch as soon as possible. So I guess they have either run out of cheques or money

I have sent mine in and spoken to them but not revived it yet. Don't worry it will turn up soon :-)

well i sent mine just before end of jan and still awaiting. really could do with the cash back cheque and have the original paper work back too!

But then I ordered in advance of the Xmas rush, though it still to 6+ weeks, so be patient. If they've confirmed receipt of your application, you'll get your wedge

shall wait another week or two before enquiring.

if you do phone up, does it get acknowledged, i.e. they log details in a system to refer to etc.?

When i rang up for the second time they kept a records acknowledging that i had rung once previously. They can also tell you the status of your claim, ie if it was succedful and when its due to be deliverd. Or at least after much nagging they did with me.

Yup, phone call made and all seems in order. My application arrived early Feb and they're saying early March for the cheque. So it does seem to be a good 4-5 weeks wait...

cheque, original invoices and guarantte paper all back
so all in about a month
