Right, just got my shiny new D700 but, checking the dates on the free NX2 offer....... It's run out!

Any clues on the best free compatable NEF conversion software?

Damn shame about the NX2 thing too as I got the impression it's rather good!

NX2 is the mutt's nuts for NEF files. IrFanView is free and can handle NEFs.

Just downloaded a trial of Paint shop pro ultimate from corel.com/uk
you need xp or vista BTW!!!

I took a quick shot in the bedroom with my D60 in Raw and it opened fine in PSP exif data etc stating it was a nikon Raw image

I am a newby though so please wait for some other comments and or try the trial yourself and see how you get on
it is about £57 delivered from amazon uk
