Beginner to Chromakey

I've gotten myself a green screen and i'm looking into what kind of lighting I will need to make the most out of the green screen.

For example Do I need to backlight the screen or can I get by with just a light source from in front of it, And if so what kind of lighting equipment would I need?

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated

Re: Beginner to Chromakey

Both ideally !! ... you need to light the greenscreen to a degree to ensure you get a clean area and sharp edge to chromakey with - and of course you need to light your subject properly ...
