Panasonic TZ5 in silver

Hi

Does anyone know what the delay is with Panasonic UK. I have a Panasonic TZ5 in silver on order but the supplier keeps changing the delivery date due to them not being in stock. I know I could purchase one from Amazon via another supplier (they seem to be the only supplier who has them in stock)

Very frustrated !

I'm guessing here, but it probably has something to do with the recent price hikes due to the exchange rate. No one wants to buy new stock while the rate is unfavorable.

Thanks but I think suppliers are given delivery dates by Panasonic and once they get close they delay them again, its as if Panasonic have no stock of TZ5's and that they are in the process of making them.

I think I have phoned every camera shop withing 30 miles of where I live and everyone has sold out and caanot give me a confirmed date.

Maybe someone on here works at Panasonic, if so please update me with any info you may have, I would be very grateful for anything.

It may be that Panasonic just cannot keep up with the demand from suppliers after the cameras were advertised on TV and Christmas etc and there is a huge back log of orders. Amazon seem to be the only supplier at the moment and have hiked their prices

All I done was check through the first few links on this page to see if anyone had any showing stock.
In fact, Jacobs are also showing stock. But as you've found out, it doesn't mean that their website is up to date.

I ordered mine from ebay(import for america) i wanted a blue one so would have to of imported anyway but i got it next day at a reasoable price £190 with 4GB card. So if you feel like taking a abit of a risk then go for that.

Hi

At first it was just the silver that was out of stock and now it would seem that the black is also out of stock. I was told to buy only UK stock due to different fittings etc.

What would happen RE the warranty if it is from USA?

It came with a seller warranty for 90 days but it allowed me to register it on the panasonic site so i think it is covered.

The only different fitting is the plug for the battery charger and the seller threw in a adapter with the parcel and it is working fine for me.
