Re: What ia a good price for a D300

I'd take it for a swap for my D80 and a few pints beforehand to make sure the deal goes through ? This is the one I want next, but sadly out of my price bracket and level of skill right now....

If it still has plenty of warranty, in good nick and you trust your friend, even a few hundred off street price sounds like a bargain.
Cheers

Does £1100 sound like a good deal then.
I will be moving from a Sony A100

You can get a brand new one here includng lens .
Nikon D300 body + 18 - 70mm f3.5/4.5G AFS DX Lens Kit on Dale Photographic Online

I would prefer a new one for that money but its your choice best of luck with what ever you choose.

Re: What ia a good price for a D300

OK
So having spoke to my friend he has decided to split the camera package so the offer now is:-
The D300 Body
Nikon battery grip
and 6Gb of extreme CF cards

Does £800 sound like a good price?
Thanks for all the advice
Rob

Re: What ia a good price for a D300

Brand new d300 = almost £900. Grip = at least £150. So doesn't sound like too bad a price. Gotta factor in whether you will get any warranty included, and whether that bothers you...

Re: What ia a good price for a D300

I would have give him the extra £300 for the glass, both lenses are F2.8 so must be worth this......

Re: What ia a good price for a D300

If the sigma is the hsm one, then that's worth £280 brand new alone...

The nikon one i found sold for £355 on ebay (albeit with filters and hood). So if they were the same ones, you'd have gotten a bargain getting the lenses...
