Trip to Martin Mere

A very cold trip to Martin Mere near Southport to test out the new lens, pretty impressed!

If anyone is interested the lens used was a Sigma 100-300 f/4 DG EX. End of part one, see next post for second lot.

I really liked my 100-300 lens. Very sharp and relatively compact.

Nice shots - clear and crisp. A bit close cropped on a couple, but there are some real goodies in there like #1 and #8 if I've counted right.

I really should have numbered these, I'll do that in a second.

Unfortunately most of the closer cropped shots were actually taken close rather than cropped in PP so not much I can do about those. Yea the lens is a beauty Tobers, I find it very easy to carry around with me all day and hand holding it is a breeze. Would like IS every now and again but nothing a monopod can't solve.

Very nice set


Do like #7 do like the colour in this one.

#8 a nice composition and nice colour.

#14 another good shot and well caught.


Lens I have not thought about, have to look into this.
