Hi mate,

Just looked at your shots but they are a bit dull......did you do any PP on them after they went on pc?

I downloaded this 1 and cropped and brightened it a wee bit....hope you don't mind but this looks better I think!!!

Maybe try post processing before you upload them.......just a bit dull mate..

Re: A Few shots with new lens

The one of the Jay is great but some of the others when looked at large are a bit grainy and look heavily cropped.

What lens was it ?

Bill

Re: A Few shots with new lens

Happy New Year to you too.

My initial thoughts were that they weren't very sharp but then I noticed that they were taken handheld which means that for the length of lens and light available, they are quite remarkable. It will be very interesting to see the results taken on a bright day with a tripod.

It is always interesting to see what the camera gives un-retouched even though they may need a bit of tweaking to give of their best. Maybe not as much as Iceman gave it though (sorry iceman), which gives us the sort of image contrast you would expect on a sunny day but without the directional lighting to make it look convincing.
