Re: 2008 Re-visited!

As this thread disappears off page 4 with only 39 views and not one single comment, I thought I would just revive it with a couple more from my album, it good to be able to renew my interest, I have always taken any landscape shot ‘bracketed’ and now it is paying off using Photomatix software to render them in HDR!

As for the comments, I welcome criticism as this is the only way we can improve our hobby, but I find indifference a bit hard to bear!

Just click photo for larger redition!

The first set are beautiful with nice use of reflection. The second set of the Sunset are both very good. The first one is my favourite, but the second one has a winter eerieness about it. I also agree with your comments.

Re: 2008 Re-visited!

My advice would be to bump it up as you see fit

IMHO all the images you posted are more than worthy of being seen and I wouldn't take the apparent "indifference " personally

Sometimes forum inactivity or more than a few " which DSLR " threads can make even the most fascinating threads dissapear quickly. Zone and I go through all of them..!

If this danger is real. Simply put them in your own album and drip feed us as you seem to have been doing:

Comments wise All I can say is that your HDR is very effective as they are very easy on the eye without being overcooked
Do you always use bracketed shots or sometimes single RAW files ( or both?)
I can see there arent any people ( they are landscapes , I know) but moving people would affect 3 shots ( unless you clone them out) wouldnt they?

I must say the one you posted on the first are more to my liking though
These more recent ones look more desolate than picturesque . but I guess its only a reflection iof the ambience from that time of day/Year. They are Perhaps fit for a backdrop of " lonely corner of the world"

Well done and thanks for sharing

Re: 2008 Re-visited!

Nice set of Sheffield Park, one of my favourite places to see autumn colours.

I was at Sheffield Park Gardens a couple of days after you took the first set, but when I was there it was teeming with people and you could not have got any shots of the lake without crowds milling around.
