I am thinking about buying a Sony DSC-W300 from them, I know they are more expensive than other on-line retailers but I believe in supporting your local shops as these are the people who come to your rescue when you really need something!

However if the staff are numptys and customer service, particularly when you have issues, is bad I will give them a miss!!

Any info in regards to what you bought and how you found them would be appreciated

I bought my 450d from Jessops Swansea for christmas, there was not much in the price about £10 i think!!.

There was this old man who could not work the till to save his life!! BUT when he came to giving advice on which camera to buy and what to look for he was FANTASTIC, I was there for about an hour and half in total trying out different cameras and lenses etc. After a bit of haggling I had a fantastic deal, with a few added extras. Well worth a visit just to play around and see whats what.

Dunno about the one down in wales, but I was in the one in Leicester, and the bloke in there seemed to be fairly knowledgeable. Most of the staff weren't the best, and he was saying about "where's the canon camera dude" as if they had a person who knew specifically more about different brands...

Best thing is, to go in there, and see if you can get a feel as to how knowledgeable the people are...
