Oh my GOD!!!!

Bought a 7ft x 5ft collapsible backdrop (like this Botero | #036 Collapsible Reversible Background - 5x7' | C03657)

Now I can't refold the ****ing thing to get it back in the cover - I know there's a certain technique to fold it a certain ways - I have spent AN HOUR trying to do the thing - I am close to getting scissors and my magic hammer out.

PLEASE HELP.

Is it one of these things that pops out into shape when you undo it ? I think you need to grip opposite corners and then twist your right hand it towards your body and your left hand away from your body and at the same time bring your hands slowly together.

we had one at work for taking ID photos and it was a pure b****r to put back, it's all in the wrist action I think, I managed it the last time we had to use it, but have no idea how to describe how to do it, we always had a hoot passing it around the shift in an attempt to humiliate fellow workers

There is certainly a knack to this. The last time I used one of these was over ten years ago. As far as I can remember you are basically trying to get the frame into three hoops not the two that most feels instinctive. I seem to recall holding two opposite "corners" and letting the top corner flop down and then its all in the wrist action. The principle is the same as coiling a cycle tyre into three without bending the beading, come to think about it that's a bit of a knack as well .

I hope this helps but given the impossibility of describing it and my memory it might not be . Once you do it you'll wonder why it was so difficult - until you try it again that is.

Yes, thanks the Noops and the online tutorial I finally managed to get the thing back in it's case.

It's never coming out of it again though.

I remember having trouble the first time too and it was such a relief when I finally did do it but couldn't remember how I had!

I resorted to that video the next time and from then on I've not had any problems.
