All my kit just stopped working

or rather it sat in my bag and snigg ered (space left in cos the censor thinks its a rude word) for the last few weeks! Nothing I've done/did worked and even stopped taking my bag when I've been out.

Not even commented on the forum for some time and generally felt out of sorts!

Anyways been mucking around with a few processes and took these this weekend:

There's various amounts of blur and vignetting in there and they are all bracketed shots (3 x 1 stop).

and to cap it all I lost my cable release on Saturday (never mind though - it probably wouldn't work either!).

#1 is really good. The post processing works very well. I dont go for the angle on #2 that much by comparison. The composition in #3 is right, with the sign pointing over to the left. Not much to see on the left though, but it works well to draw you into the image.

No 2 is very striking, superb. I love trees without leaves.

In the old days of darkroom printing I used to mess about with solarization as it would bring out finest detail of the smallest of twigs against a darkened sky, your picture reminds me of that technique.

Nice work.

I know the feeling - I've barely been out recently.

Think #1 is my pick - really like the processing and composition of that one.

Not sure about the angle of #2, but do like the detail in the branches.

3 is pretty good as well, with the sign drawing your eye.

Good to see you're getting back out with the camera though

Re: All my kit just stopped working

I like #1 . . the contrast of the sky in relation to the tree . . seems to 'frame' it. If I send you my files, will you process them for me?
