Perivale is probably best known for the Hoover building (which is now a Tesco supermarket) on the A40 to the West of London. Just across the A40 from the Hoover building is Ealing Golf Club and St Mary’s Church which dates from the 12th Century. These ring-necked parakeets live in the trees here although they are now very common in South East England.

The lack of leaves on the trees make them a lot easier to spot, although you can always hear them .

These shots were taken with a D300, Sigma 120-300 2.8 and ISO400.

These were all taken in the same session as the robin and tit shots posted earlier. A very productive walk indeed .

Nice looking birds, number 2 is my favourite

Nice birdy shots. They may appear exotic but the bloody things screech all the time - hugely annoying. I'd shoot them with something other than a camera .
