Wild Sea

It was a bit windy down my neck of the woods today, so I weathered the storm, put my woollies on and tied myself to a rock and hopefully took some nice pictures.

Still don't know how to enhance them with any software so the are straight out of the camera. Hope you like them

Re: Wild Sea

I really like them but they are in dire need of some processing imo.
Took the liberty of doing one quickly .. hope you don't mind but it will give you an idea of what they can look like with a bit of contrast and a colour boost.

Re: Wild Sea

I have to agree with Mike P (never thought I would admit that ). A little PP (post production) can go a long way and in case you're worried you don't need expensive software. IRFANVIEW is free and has most of the features you'll need.

Thanks Mike
No I don't mind what you have done, I've only had my DSRL for 3 weeks and I am a complete novice, when I have got a bit more knowledge of the workings of my camera I will move on to more processing side of things.

I have the software that came with the camera installed on my computer but have not used it yet,it's not the cost of any software, it's easy of use is the problem. I will download IRFANVIEW and see it I can make head or tails of it.Thanks

Re: Wild Sea

Try Picassa from Google its free and very easy to use, (thats why I use it) all of my friends use it as well. Nice shots of the island by the way..... I hope to get over there to visit a friend who has moved there, next year hopefully!

Re: Wild Sea

Yeah I also use picassa 3 and find it does pretty much everything you need it to do when you are first starting out, I'm now looking to move on to bigger more powerful software but for a freebie its ace.
