digital camera for 8yr old.

Hi

I'm looking to get my 8yr old a digital camera for christmas. Nothing fancy (up to £30.00 if poss), a zoom would be nice but just basic settings, idiot proof !!!! As long as it uses a Sd card so he can down load on to the PC or show his photos on his Wii.
Any ideas would be great

Many thanks

Re: digital camera for 8yr old.

To be honest you're not going to get a lot new for that price. You could consider something like this Vivitar at Amazon which would suit your needs pefectly though - Amazon.co.uk: VIVITAR 7340 7MP DIGITAL CAMERA~SILVER: Electronics & Photo

Alternatively check out the second hand market, although with a camera i wouldn't reccomend buying something off the internet when you can't see the quality, especially if it's for a present. Check out local camera shops and even places like Cash Converters as they often have good deals on. Also worth looking in local supermarkets as they tend to cater for the lower end of the price market. ASDA have this Vivitar which comes with a waterproof case! ASDA direct | Vivicam V5399 Underwater Digital Camera | Digital Cameras

Hope that helps!

Re: digital camera for 8yr old.

What about this - exactly £30 for new and uses an SD Card.

Not sure about the quality though but should be ideal for an 8-year old

Re: digital camera for 8yr old.

Buy a used older model Canon Ixus on ebay. Great quality, tough cameras
