Photography Literature - Can you suggest?

Hi all

I am a newbie when it comes to photography and as part of my New Years Resolution, I want to venture into learning how to shoot.

I have just purchased the Panny Lumix LX3 as my first camera. If I can get to grips with this, I may consider the DSLR route in the future.

Can you suggest any literature that would help me learn the ropes?

Any help, much appreciated as usual

Although its aimed more at DSLR cameras, I am quite confident that a good few will suggest Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson - I have it and it's a great book

Yep, I'll second that suggestion. Helped me out no end when I got my first dslr. In fact I have a few Peterson books and they are all well written and very informative

Re: Photography Literature - Can you suggest?

Hi,
I would also take a look at Photography community, including forums, reviews, and galleries from Photo.net especially the learning section. I went on this site back in 2002 in the film days and started my interest in photography as a hobby and today I am still 'learning'......

Have fun with your LX3 and hope to see some pics soon!
