Re: Outlook Images / Photo to Canvas Websites

Having experienced the appalling Outlook Images DO NOT USE THEM.
I ordered a photo on canvas on 27th May 2009 - the result was a cheap tacky mdf "box" frame on which they put the photo on canvas. There was a crease all down one side. I spoke to them on the phone and returned the picture by special delivery to them for a replacement or refund. THey REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE PICTURE and it was sent back to me unopened. I rang and spoke to someone called Michael who turned out to be the Director. He told me to return the photo again - this I did and despite endless and empty promises I have never received a replacement or my money back. BEWARE

Not condoning what they've done but a lot of these companies work on such low profit margins now they'd lose money if they had to post out another picture to you, that's why they are so awkward when a customer has a problem with a picture. I still can't work out how the guys on Ebay make any meaningful profit. The real downside with these MDF frames is they don't take the wedges in the corner like a stretcher bar frame, these are used to stretch the canvas and give you the tension. You can also over time retension the canvas if it sags by using a hammer.

Re: Outlook Images / Photo to Canvas Websites

Hi Dazza
I accept what you say but that is still no reason not to refund or replace! I paid with paypal thinking that would provide protection but it doesn't unless the product was purchased through ebay which it wasn't... Outlook Images have now changed their phone number to an 0845 one which is exasperating as it now costs more to phone them and they deliberately keep you waiting 5 minutes.

I completely agree, as I say I'm not condoning their actions, they sound a really shoddy company. With canvas pictures you best bet is to go with personal recommendations, there's a lot of cowboy's now operating sadly in this business.

Re: Outlook Images / Photo to Canvas Websites

OUTLOOK IMAGES

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING Customer service and lacking any Quality Control

Never have I had such disgusting customer service in all my life
Outlook Images made two major mistakes and missed their stated deadline by a Week

Outlook Images printed a canvas print in the WRONG ORIENTATION, and randomly CROPPED the picture completely running the image

Despite seeking legal advice from Consumer Direst, and the Office of Fair Trading the Director is refusing to refund, despite his written admittance of the two errors (not to mention the late delivery).

In the Directors own words in a letter dated 08/10/09 - "WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS ON CUSTOMER PRODUCTS" this in the same letter which states "THE ORDER WAS SENT OUT INCORRECTLY

Buyer Be VERY Aware! when dealing with Outlook Images
Avoid Outlook Images like the plague

The problem you have is because it's custom made and a bespoke product unfortunately you've legally no entitlement to a refund of your money. A printer can't sell on your returned picture for example, they can only strip it down at best and reuse the frame. Not condoning this companies actions just trying to show there's another side to the argument.

A lot of these companies will send out a replacement but they seem to want you to spend the money returning the old one.

Outlook Images - DO NOT USE

Do not trust Outlook images with your picture. Had problems with them. Total Crap.

Payed with Paypal but as stated above no joy there.

Be warned AND DO NOT USE THEM !!!

I ordered a canvas from canvas-kings on ebay this morning
I emailed the picture to them at 10.50am, I recieved an email at 11.23am to say it had been dispatched.
I hope the speed doesn't mean it will look awfull when it arrives.

appalling service and customer service

i would discourage anybody from buying at this shop. I ordered 3 canvas back in november. After a lot of waiting they turned up 2 weeks later. 2 of them were badly printed or stiched on the frame. they were wonky, my signature was unreadble or partially folded over the frame.

contacted them, after about 2 weeks i was told to resend the pictures. After that no news for another month, no email, no reply to my request of explanations. At the end of January somebody called Michael Hopkins asked to resend again the picutres, which i promptly did.

the email was received by them as a automated email confirmed. After that another 2 weeks of silence. I wrote to them and in particular to Mr. Hopkins asking again if after 3 months i could receive the canvas i paid for. NO ANSWER WHATSOEVER.

Now it's mid febbruary and i find myself short of £50 and with 2 wonky canvases which I will have to reorder somewhere else, as they were supposed to be "Christmas presents" which i never fulfilled because of them.

This people should learn first of all how to print and stich a canvas, and then how to deal with aftersale support, which is very impersonal (none of the emails received had a signature on them, leaving me wondering if I was dealing with the same person or not) and to listed to a complaint.

So, end of the story, if you want to avoid a very bed print and a very frustrating shopping experience, stay away from these guys.

I lost 50 quid!!! They should be ashamed........

Best regards.

Walter, London

Can i make another recommendation for Canvas King.
Thought it was too good to be true for £30, but when i got them back, my family and i promptly ordered 4 more.

For the price its great and have been hanging on my wall now for nearly a year and no sign of wear yet.

I can recommend Photobox for canvas prints - they are first class, they may be more expensive than some but if your having a print done on canvas then it is obviously something special and well worth the extra expense imho.

I would strongly advise everyone not to use this company. We gave them some orders to print photos on to Canvas and they missed out half of the picture then charged us for another full version. They said it was due to the quality of the orginal sent in which is fair enough but why didnt they say that before printing and delivering?! Then 8 months after that order they contact our company to say that the payment didnt go through which is quite hard to proove after so much time. I explained that we didnt have an account with them so the payment must have been made but they argued that they open an account for everyone (nice of them to tell us). Then you call up and they dont have a clueand dont care about their customers, a really bunch of .........!

Smile Photos on canvas

I have used canvas4life.co.uk and their results are truly amazing. The site lets you preview your canvas in a virtual room setting.

I can recommend CatchInColour - have used them for presents and they were tip top - and you get 25% coupon against next order.
