Sony Image Data Suite 3 for Sony DSLR's on Linux

I have got the Image Data Suite Version 3 running in linux.

Image Data Convertor V3 and Lightbox V2 both seem to work correctly when installed in the latest version of wine (I'm running Ubuntu 8.10). I can't test Remote Camera Control as I don't have an A700/A900. There are a couple of things to do first to get the install to run.

Here are the install instructions:

1. Make sure that you have the latest wine installed.
2. Get copies of the following files

msvcp71.dll and mfc71.dll

I got them from DLL-files.com. Put the DLL's into your .wine/drive_c/windows/system folder. Note .wine is a hidden folder, so use the show hidden files option in nautilus.

3. It should then just be a matter of running the downloaded IDS3 installer file.

As far as I can tell everything works, but I have just had a quick check of both apps. Image Data Convertor also automatically recognised that I had Photoshop Elements 6 installed with wine and set up a link.
